Carboxymethyl Cellulose （CMC）
Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC)
CMC is nonpoisonous and tasteless white or light yellow
free-flowing powder with stable properties and is soluble in water.
It is water-soluble polymer under chemical modification. Its water
solution is neutral or alkaline transparent viscous liquid. In
petroleum exploration and drilling process, it is mainly used as
the filtrate reducer of drilling fluid, to increase the viscosity
and yield of mud.
With favorable carrying performance, it improves the rheological
property of drilling fluid. CMC can be used as bonding agent,
thickening agent, suspending agent, emulsifying agent, dispersing
agent, stabilizing agent, sizing agent etc.
Product classification and code:
1. High Viscosity Carboxymethyl Cellulose, codenamed HV-CMC
2. Middle Viscosity Carboxymethyl Cellulose, codenamed MV-CMC
3. Low Viscosity Carboxymethyl Cellulose, codenamed LV-CMC
